I am inspired by the notion of Tikum olum. How we can make the world a better place. This is a process :
veiled knowledge. layered, disguised, transformed, partially hidden, completely hidden, suggestive, blurred, flicker of existence, untethered , secreted, calling out, thrusting out, emerging with force, amorphous, ignamatic, shocking, surprising.

In this series of works titled "Confidential", I am preoccupied with an expression of things that are intangible but very real. I do a lot of just thinking. Thinking about the nature of existence and purpose. The creative process for me is fluid; I may begin with an idea or an image, but I let that start to develop a life force of its own. I don’t fight my canvas but rather open myself to where the image evolves.

This is a painting inspired by the gratitude of gift giving and receiving when the subject of the gift is the sharing of one's love and humanity. There are many paint layers applied like veils of color that simulate plasma and clouds through which spirit flows. There also are iconographic images throughout used as symbols of ancient imagery that connect our present with our past. I hope you experience joy from an immersion in this work.

This work was inspired by the ocean, rocks, and sand where the rough and powerful forces of nature prevail.

This work was inspired in a period of forced isolation, but even in the loneliest of times there was an insurgent spirit that met what needed to be met at the time. personal and confidential.
